Chiropractic is becoming increasingly popular
Chiropractic care is booming, and there are good reasons for that. In fact, there is a shortage of skilled chiropractors in the Netherlands, as discussed on BNR some time ago.The reason for the growth of chiropractic is therefore easy to figure out, people benefit greatly from chiropractic! The chiropractor’s role is also shifting from merely fixing symptoms to monitoring health.
The Chiropractor as Health Promoter
Consequently, the chiropractor has an increasing role in people’s lives. The chiropractor is not only visited when people have pain or other complaints, the chiropractor has a role in people’s lives as a health promoter. For this reason, more and more people are coming to the chiropractor without complaints. The goal then is to get and keep the body as healthy as possible so that symptoms themselves do not occur.
So the chiropractor is also increasingly involved with healthy individuals to help them stay as healthy as possible.
The role of the chiropractor
The chiropractor is not only involved in complaints, precisely
preventing complaints is chiropractic’s specialty!
For whom is chiropractic appropriate?
So the chiropractor is not just taking care of complaints. This is still a though an important part of the profession. This means that many people with back or neck pain, for example, go to a chiropractor.
So who see at TOPCHIRO a group of people who come with (persistent) pain and/or stiffness in their back and neck. By fixing subluxations, we can achieve wonderful results in these people. By releasing blockages and relieving nerves, we can often resolve their symptoms in these people. We also see this in complaints of the shoulders or other joints.
Another large group of people, are those who walk with problems that have persisted for a long time and are very intractable. You can think of migraine headaches or long-term fatigue, for example. Because of our in-depth knowledge of the human body and extensive experience with these types of complaints, we look not only at the complaint but at the whole body.
By then bringing the body into optimal health, long-term complaints are also remedied.
Is chiropractic care dangerous?
No, absolutely not!
Sometimes a chiropractic session releases some air bubbles from the joints. This is a direct result of creating space between the vertebrae, nerves and muscles. This escape is completely harmless but may produce a snapping sound. Because of the long and very highly regarded training in chiropractic, the chiropractor knows exactly what manipulation is needed to release blockages and stimulate nerves.
Chiropractic is therefore not dangerous and is also possible in children or pregnant women, for example.
Is chiropractic care painful?
The session itself is usually painless and often provides an immediate sense of relief. In the days following contact, some discomfort may occur.
It is possible that after a session you will have some days of muscle pain, this is because the body needs to adjust to the new situation.
We recommend that you drink plenty of water and exercise regularly in the days following a session. Also, rest is very important because your body is still working hard even after the session.
