Rights and duties
Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO).
The Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) describes the rights and obligations of clients in health care.
The WGBO is important for anyone who deals with medical care. When a chiropractor goes to examine or treat a client, there is a medical treatment agreement. The law is designed to empower clients in need of medical care.
TOPCHIRO practice, as a health care provider, is bound by this agreement. For this reason, we would like to explain to you a bit more about these rules.
Rights: What does the WGBO regulate?
(Click on the links below for more information)
- Access to medical records
- The right to privacy and confidentiality of medical information (professional secrecy)
- The representation of patients who cannot decide for themselves
Duties: What should the client do
In addition to rights, client also have duties:
- the client must give the health care provider good, honest and complete information about his/her problems.
With the right information, healthcare providers can diagnose more quickly and better and provide better care. The client should cooperate with the caregiver and follow advice as much as possible.
