What is caesar therapy (and its difference from chiropractic)

voordelen-chiropractie

Cesar therapy is a form of exercise sometimes offered for back pain. The core of this therapy here is that there are good and bad ways to perform actions. Performing actions the wrong way creates symptoms that do not arise when the action is performed correctly. For this reason, caesar therapy (closely related to physical therapy) focuses on the way people move, lift and bend, for example.

Cesar therapy or chiropractic

When the wrong way of moving is involved, therapists say it can cause a variety of symptoms. These symptoms disappear when the cause is eliminated, namely the wrong way of moving or performing actions incorrectly.

A conscious reader may see parallels with chiropractic here. Chiropractic also involves an optimal way to perform actions. For this reason, we also practice movements with our clients. Chiropractic, however, goes beyond correcting movements and actions.

Chiropractic also looks at why movements are not performed optimally. After all, there is a cause why the body is not functioning or moving optimally. The cause can then be found in, for example, a misalignment of the spine or a subluxation. This misalignment causes pain when sitting, causing the patient to adjust their posture. The result is poor posture that causes uneven strain on muscles or vertebrae.

Of course, then the wrong attitude must be corrected. However, if the misalignment of the back is not also corrected, the patient’s original symptoms return. The action may be performed correctly, but it still does not result in optimal health. For this reason, a chiropractor will always investigate the reason why the body is not functioning optimally.

Is Cesar therapy covered by insurance?

Cesar therapy is reimbursed from the supplementary package. The same goes for chiropractic care.

This means you would be well advised to adjust your insurance in a timely manner. If you want to correct a movement or even promote your entire health with a chiropractor, the treatment may not be covered initially.

To avoid this, you can opt for supplemental insurance so that you are assured of proper chiropractic care. You then do not have to worry about reimbursement for help.

Chiropractic: More than Cesar therapy

Although caesar therapy can be helpful against a complaint, chiropractic is aimed at improving overall health.
Do I need a referral for caesar therapy?
No, you do not need a referral for both chiropractic and caesar therapy. This means you can make your own appointment with the chiropractor. An initial meeting will then explore what help is most appropriate for you.

A recommendation will be prepared for you and a plan will be designed. Because you don’t need a referral from the family doctor, help can be started very quickly.

Am I doing the right thing in taking Cesar therapy?

Cesar therapy is a form of therapy that certainly has appealing aspects. However, in our experience as a chiropractic practice, this form of help is not complete. The cause of the symptoms may be deeper or not immediately obvious.
The chiropractor’s job and specialty then is to identify the reason for the symptoms and fix this cause.
